Field Service Technician - Patient Lifting Equipment

CHS Healthcare is a trusted provider of servicing, maintenance, and installation for patient lifting equipment across a wide range of environments - including Aged care facilities, Hospitals, Aquatic Centres, Changing Places bathrooms, Residential homes, and private hire clients.

Our team is growing, and we're looking for a capable, compassionate Field Service Technician to join us and make a real difference.

The Role

n

This field-based role is diverse and hands-on. You'll travel to customer sites to maintain, service, and install lifting and transfer equipment. This includes not only servicing installed systems but also delivering, installing, and collecting hire equipment for short- and long-term use.

Key responsibilities include:

n

- Conducting preventative maintenance and repairs on patient lifting systems
n
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical or electrical faults
n
- Installing equipment in residential and commercial settings
n
- Delivering, setting up, and collecting hire equipment for clients
n
- Completing service reports and compliance documentation
n
- Liaising with clients including aged care staff, hospital teams, disability support providers, and families
n




- Providing qualified and respectful service, especially in sensitive environments
n

About You

n

You're a technically skilled, self-motivated individual who enjoys variety in your day and has a strong commitment to safety and service.

We're looking for someone with:

n

- Experience in a field service or technical support role
n
- Mechanical or electrical aptitude
n
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
n
- Good time management and attention to detail
n
- Ability to pass a police check and obtain a Working with Children Check
n

Highly Regarded:

n

n
- Biomedical engineering qualifications or experience
n
- Experience with assistive technology or medical/rehabilitation equipment
n
- Comfortable working in both clinical and residential environments
n
