Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our Chip Bins area and play a key role in ensuring our daily production objectives are achieved safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

The Team Leader is responsible for coordinating the team, allocating work effectively and supporting the Area Manager to maintain production flow and deliver on the production schedule.

n

As Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

n

Allocating work to ensure team members remain engaged, productive and appropriately utilised.

n

Ensuring work is allocated in line with employee skills, qualifications and capabilities.

n

Coordinating daily production activities and ensuring scheduled objectives are achieved.

n

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in BARKERverse for trailers within your area of responsibility.

n

Ensuring all team members are correctly clocked in and out of direct jobs where required.

n

Maintaining high standards of quality and ensuring all required quality processes and signoffs are completed.

n

Ensuring the correct materials and components are used in accordance with nominated drawings and job sheets.

n

Identifying and communicating production issues, rework requirements or technical concerns to the Group Leader.

n

Investigating rework and assisting with identifying root causes to prevent recurrence.

n

Supporting apprentices with their development and providing guidance as required.

n

Communicating effectively with other departments to maximise workflow across the business.

n

Promoting a strong 5S mindset and maintaining a clean, organised and efficient work environment.

n





Operating plant and equipment safely, accurately and with appropriate technical knowledge.

n

Using mechanical aids and equipment wherever possible to minimise manual handling risks.

n

Assisting the Group Leader with duties as required and supporting other areas of the business when necessary.

n

Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company safety, quality and production requirements.

n

Has strong experience within a manufacturing or production environment.

n

Demonstrates the ability to lead, motivate and support a team.

n

Has a strong understanding of production schedules and the importance of meeting deadlines.

n

Takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.

n

Understands and follows drawings, job sheets, processes and quality requirements.

n

Has strong communication and problem-solving skills.

n

Can identify issues that may impact production flow and ...

Is committed to workplace safety and actively promotes safe work practices.

n

Is willing to support and develop apprentices and less experienced team members.

n

Demonstrates initiative and a positive, solutions-focused approach.

n

Is organised and committed to maintaining high standards of housekeeping and 5S.

n

Holds the relevant skills and trade qualifications (Fabrication).
