- Full-time (Mon-Fri, 700am – 330pm).

The Role

n

You will join Civil Fire's electrical department consisting of 6 other electricians.



Depending on the size of the job, you may work alone, or as part of a team.

n

We have sites all over the Sydney Metropolitan area – you will work at a different site each day, and may work at several sites in a day.

n

You will primarily be required to carry out repairs to, and installations of smoke alarms & emergency lighting. You may also be required to carry out repairs to fire detection systems (AS1670), mechanical air handling systems, portable firefighting equipment and fire doors.

n

You will develop compliance knowledge in accordance with the Building Code of Australia & Australian Standards, and may be required to complete inspections and make recommendations from time-to-time.

n

The successful applicant will be punctual & well presented, and will have good communication skills.

n

They will need to be capable of working independently and as part of a team.

n

Experience in the fire protection industry is preferred.

Position Summary

n

n
- Installation and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial strata buildings.
n
- Knowledge of fire detection systems (AS1670), mechanical air handling system, portable firefighting equipment and fire door repairs.
n
- Inspect buildings in accordance with Australian Standards & the BCA.
n
- Follow job sheets, recording materials and labour.
n
- Make recommendations for compliance & estimate the cost of jobs.
n
- Carry out tasks in a skilled manner, maintaining a high level of customer service.

Applicants are required to hold:

- Current Driver's Licence

- Current NSW Electrical Licence

- NSW White Card (or equivalent)
