Maintenance Engineer

Middle Dural| Pharmaceutical / Regulated Manufacturing | 3-6 months Contract (Potential Extension) Prospect

We are currently seeking an experienced Fitter/ Turner to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing operation based in Middle Dural.

n

This is a hands-on role suited to a mechanically strong maintenance professional who enjoys fault finding, preventative maintenance and improving the reliability of production equipment, while working within a highly regulated cGMP environment.

n

The Role Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring production equipment, critical utilities and site facilities operate safely, reliably and efficiently.

n

You will be involved across day-to-day maintenance, breakdown response, contractor coordination, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

- Complete planned preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs and breakdown response
n
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, utility and control-system faults
n
- Identify recurring equipment failures and implement practical reliability improvements
n
- Maintain critical utilities including HVAC, cleanroom, water, steam and compressed air systems
n
- Coordinate external contractors, servicing, testing and certification activities
n
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders through the CMMS
n
- Support GMP documentation, change control, calibration, validation and equipment qualification
n
- Assist with deviations, investigations, CAPAs, audits and compliance activities
n
- Support equipment installation, commissioning and project activities including FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ and PQ
n
- Contribute to shutdown planning, technical specifications and continuous improvement projects
n




- Work closely with Production, QA/QC, Validation, Warehouse and external service providers
n
- Ensure all maintenance and contractor activities are completed in line with WHS and site safety requirements
n

What We're Looking For

n

We're looking for a practical, technically capable maintenance professional with strong fault-finding skills and experience working within a manufacturing environment.

n

Ideally, you will have:

n

n
- A trade or tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering or a related discipline
n
- Relevant maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
n
- Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding capability
n
- Experience with preventative maintenance and CMMS systems
n
- Experience working with manufacturing equipment and critical utilities
n
- Knowledge of WHS, isolation, permits, contractor management and risk assessment
n
- Ability to read technical drawings, manuals and equipment documentation
n
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
n
- Appropriate electrical licences/authorisations where required
n
- Pharmaceutical or other regulated manufacturing experience is highly regarded
n
- Exposure to cGMP, calibration, validation and change control is desirable
n
