Are you an experienced Welder or Fabricator looking for a new opportunity? ASM is a leading sheetmetal manufacturing company and is seeking a skilled Welder / Fabricator / Sheetmetal professional to join their team in Bayswater, Victoria. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in the production and fabrication of high-quality sheetmetal products.
Casual Rate of $38-$45 Hour with the view to go Full Time within 3 months. Full Time rate to be discussed at the time
What you'll be doing
- Performing welding, fabrication and metal shaping tasks to a high standard
- Reading and interpreting technical and shop floor drawings, 3D models and specifications
- Operating various metalworking machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
- Troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions to ensure on-time delivery
- Collaborating with the production team to meet quality and productivity targets
- Maintaining a safe and organised work environment
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Welder, Fabricator or Sheetmetal Worker, preferably in a manufacturing setting
- Strong skills in MIG,
TIG and other welding techniques with Mild Steel, Stainless and Aluminium
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience operating sheetmetal machinery and equipment
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
