About the Role

n

As a Qualified Early Childhood Educator, you'll work collaboratively with your Room Leader and fellow educators to provide safe, nurturing and engaging learning experiences for children.

n

You'll play an important role in supporting the daily operation of your classroom, contributing to educational programs and building meaningful relationships with children and families.

n

Your key responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Supporting the planning, implementation and evaluation of engaging, play-based educational programs aligned with the EYLF and VEYLDF.
n
- Contributing observations, documentation and reflections that inform children's individual learning and development.
n
- Creating inclusive learning experiences that encourage children's curiosity, agency, creativity and sense of belonging.
n
- Maintaining active supervision and consistently implementing safe practices throughout the day.
n
- Supporting children's health, hygiene, nutrition, rest and individual care requirements.
n
- Understanding and upholding the Victorian Child Safe Standards, mandatory reporting obligations and our service's child safety policies.
n
- Building warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children.
n
- Developing positive partnerships with families through open and professional communication.
n
- Working collaboratively with your Room Leader and colleagues to maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment.
n
- Contributing to reflective practice, continuous improvement and the implementation of our service philosophy and values.
n

n

You'll be supported by an experienced leadership team while being encouraged to take ownership of your professional practice and contribute your ideas.

n

About You

n

We're looking for educators who genuinely enjoy working with children and take pride in delivering high-quality early childhood education.

n

You'll bring a positive attitude, sound professional judgement and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.

n

To be considered, you'll have:

n

n
- A completed Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification.
n
- A current Victorian Working with Children Check.
n
- Current approved First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain them.
n
- Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework,



Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and National Quality Standard.
n
- An understanding of child protection responsibilities and the Victorian Child Safe Standards.
n
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
n
- A commitment to professional development, reflective practice and continuous improvement.
n

n

Previous experience in a long day care setting is highly regarded.

n
