Kat the Label are proud to be partnering with The Encoreship for a 3-month placement within our Finance team. This is a fixed-term opportunity from October 2026 to January 2027.

Reporting to our Head of Marketing and Growth, this role provides exposure across all facets of our finance function - from divisional and board reporting through to budgeting, forecasting, debtor management and process improvement.

In addition, this placement will give our successful Encorer exposure to key financial reporting and business planning processes. They'll have the opportunity to support and contribute to projects, with a particular focus on helping streamline and improve our financial reporting processes as we continue to scale across Australia, the US and the UK.

We understand each Encorer may have different flexibility/life requirements while reintegrating back into the workforce. We are offering this role as a part-time (minimum three days per week - proposed as Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) to support your transition back into the workforce.

Key responsibilities

- Support the preparation and maintenance of divisional reporting across the business
- Assist with monthly board reporting
- Act as a point of contact for internal financial queries, liaising with department leads
- Support review of department budgets and spending month to month, including account coding
- Assist with monitoring whole-of-business spending month to month
- Support the month-end process to ensure deadlines are met for monthly reporting
- Prepare and provide reports to divisional heads




- Support accounts receivable/wholesale, including debtor follow-up
- Assist with reviewing client/customer agreements to ensure commerciality
- Assist with yearly budget preparation and forecasting, mid-year projections, and rolling forecasts

About you

- Background in finance or accounting, ideally within retail, fashion, or a similar fast-moving business; CPA/CA qualified or working towards it
- Experience with Xero and Cin7 preferred
- Keen to build or improve finance processes, not just follow them
- A keen eye for detail and comfort asking questions when something doesn't add up
- Strong communication skills - comfortable liaising with department leads, external advisors, and accountants/bookkeepers
- Ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload across a flexible, part-time schedule
