This is a practical, on‐the‐tools role split between assembly work and warehouse operations. Previous production experience is not essential, what matters is that you are practical with good logical thinking and know your way around power tools.

About Bowen Storage

Bowen Storage designs and supplies engineered storage systems for industrial warehouses and retail stockrooms across Australia and New Zealand, including pallet racking, long‐span shelving, mezzanine floors, and workbenches. Founded in 1982, the business has completed more than 70,000 installations and operates from its Scoresby head office alongside sites in New South Wales and Queensland.

The Scoresby warehouse runs with a team of six. It is a stable, long‐tenured group with low turnover, work that gets done well gets noticed.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will work across two areas: assembly and general warehouse operations.

n

Roughly half your shift goes on assembly, like building frames and components from steel and aluminium in lengths from 1.5 to 3 metres using hand and power tools. The work is repetitive by design. Once you have been shown an order, you will typically build ten more of the same, so it becomes second nature quickly. Everything can be done single‐handedly.

The other half of your shift covers picking, packing, and keeping materials moving and organised across the warehouse.

A forklift licence is ideal however, if you do not have one, this can be easily arranged for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Assemble frames and components to production requirements using hand and power tools, including screw guns, rattle guns, drivers, drop saw, and band saw
n
- Read and follow basic work instructions, measurements, and assembly requirements
n
- Pick, pack, and prepare materials for dispatch
n
- Move and organise materials across production and warehouse areas
n
- Assist with inventory control, stock movements, and stock accuracy
n
- Carry out quality checks and identify damaged, incorrect, or non-conforming materials
n
- Complete basic data entry and production records
n
- Work safely around forklifts and other material handling equipment in line with SWMS and site safety procedures
n
- Maintain an organised and clean work area
n

The Ideal Candidate

- Comfortable using hand and power tools
n
- Physically capable of repetitive manual handling and lifting throughout the day
n
- Reliable, punctual, and self‐motivated
n
- Robust attention to detail and accuracy
n
- Safety‐conscious, particularly when working around forklifts and MHE
n
- Works well as part of a small team
n
- Basic computer literacy for general data entry
n

Previous factory, production, assembly, or warehouse experience is preferred but not essential. Trade backgrounds are welcome. If you have been on the tools in construction, fabrication, or a similar environment, that experience translates well here.
