Golding are currently seeking a Specialist Health & Safety Advisor to join our Civil Division on a major infrastructure project located near Moranbah, Queensland.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced SpecialistHealth & Safety Advisorto join our Civil Division on a major infrastructure project located near Moranbah, Queensland.

n

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in fostering a proactive safety culture, partnering with operational teams and influencing project stakeholders to achieve outstanding safety, health, environmental and training (SHET) outcomes. This position is ideally suited to a safety professional who enjoys being visible in the field, building strong relationships and driving practical risk management solutions on complex civil construction projects.

This role operates on a 9 days on, 5 days off roster, with FIFO from Brisbane or DIDO from surrounding regions. Camp accommodation and meals are provided where required.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Facilitate and lead project risk assessments aligned with construction activities and project schedules.
n
- Develop, implement and champion a project-specific SHE monitoring program informed by risk assessments and critical risk controls.
n
- Monitor the effectiveness of the project's Safety, Health and Environmental Management Plan and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
n
- Provide practical safety leadership and contribute risk-based content to toolbox talks,



pre-start meetings and project communications.

- Lead and support incident investigations, including conducting high-quality ICAM investigations and identifying sustainable corrective actions.
n
- Build a strong and engaged safety culture founded on trust, accountability and respect.
n
- Maintain compliance with both Golding and client Safety and Health Management Systems.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve workforce safety performance, wellbeing and risk awareness.
n
- Conduct regular field interactions, safety inspections and coaching activities to support frontline teams and supervisors.
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will be an engaging and influential safety professional with excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting people and improving project outcomes.

n

- Degree or Diploma qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
n
- Previous safety experience within civil construction, infrastructure, roads, bulk earthworks or related heavy industry environments.
n
- Demonstrated experience facilitating risk assessments for high-risk construction and heavy industry activities.
n
- Strong knowledge of incident reporting, investigation and corrective action management.
n
- Experience conducting safety audits, inspections and compliance monitoring.
n
- The ability to build positive working relationships and effectively influence stakeholders at all levels.
