Salary: $80k to $120k + super (dependent on experience)

About the Role

n

A Year 12 VCE Politics class is heading into its final term before exams, and it needs a teacher who can pick it up on day one and see it through. It's a full-time, permanent appointment starting Monday 5 October, so this isn't just a term of cover, it's a fantastic prospect for someone to work in an area they're passionate about. VCE Politics experience is essential.

What You'll Be Doing

n

- Taking a Year 12 VCE Politics (Unit 4) class through its final term: revision, practice exams and exam technique, right up to the exam
n
- Teaching VCE Politics Unit 2 and VCE Sociology Unit 2 to Year 11
n
- Teaching a Social Sciences elective across Years 10 to 12
n

Who We're Looking For

n

n
- Demonstrated experience teaching VCE Politics
n
- VCE Sociology experience is desirable
n
- The confidence to take over a senior class mid-year and keep the momentum going
n
- Current VIT registration (essential, with a 5 October start)
n
- Full working rights in Australia
n

You know the Politics study design well enough to walk into a Year 12 class in October and see straight away where they're at and what the exam will ask of them. You're calm when the calendar's tight, and confident to hit the ground running in Term 4.
