Based from our depot in Dandenong South. You will be part of a growing team, supported through ongoing training by our Operations leaders. To help us become the go to recycling service provider for businesses in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
Elite Recycling is over 25 years in business, servicing all size companies across the broader Melbourne space.
Because of our excellent name among the industries we service, we've seen a large spike in demand. This has meant we've just invested in recent fleet and we need new drivers to help us service our growing customer base.
We are seeking a Full Time employee driver, with current HR or MR license. The role will be based on a Casual salary and basis but will be full-time, day shift hours, Monday to Friday.
The position will require drivers to hop in and out of the cab at each job, so general fitness and mobility are a requirement.
Hourly Rate: $38 p/hour + Super and overtime where required
Roster: Monday to Friday, 5 am to 1 pm
Shift duration: Typically 8 hours, occasionally
Full on the job training provided
Key Responsibilities:
Operate Rear Lift, Medium Rigid or Heavy Rigid trucks for collections business recycling around south eastern Melbourne
Navigate designated schedules efficiently as routed on our easy to use, in-truck software
Daily pre-start routines thoroughly covered off
End of day debrief with Ops Supervisors
Maintain clear communication with Ops leaders throughout your shift as to any issues that may eventuate during your route
Adhere to all WHS protocols, hazard identification and PPE requirements
Requirements & Experience:
Current & valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Medium Rigid (MR) license. Rear Lift truck experience preferred but not essential.
Minimum 6 to 12 months previous experience and references driving trucks
Proven reliability and strong commitment to early morning starts
A clean driving record (a current driving history report will be required)
Must pass criminal background check and Drug Test
Must be an Australian permanent resident or citizen
