Optime Group are excited to be recruiting for Train Station Cleaner to join one of our well-respected and successful clients in East Croydon This job offers full time hours, overtime opportunities and an immediate start. Requirements: A full, valid UK driving licence is mandatory for this role.

- Rate of Pay: £15.03 per hour.

- Shift Times: 06:00 to 14:00 (1h unpaid break)
n
- Shift Pattern: Sunday to Friday
n
- Location: Please see below under shifts/location.

- Weekly Pay (every Friday).

Key Duties:

n

n
- Supervise and support the station cleaning team.
n
- Allocate daily tasks and monitor completion.
n
- Maintain high cleaning and presentation standards.
n
- Carry out cleaning duties when required.
n
- Conduct routine quality and safety inspections.
n
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
n
- Monitor cleaning supplies, PPE and equipment.
n
- Report hazards,



defects and maintenance issues.
n
- Train and support new team members.
n
- Complete shift records and provide effective handovers.
n
- Liaise with station management and operational teams.
n
- Promote excellent teamwork and customer service.
n

Requirements:

n

n
- Requirements: A full, valid UK driving licence is mandatory for this role.
n
- Previous cleaning experience, ideally within a station or transport environment.
n
- Previous supervisory or team-leading experience preferred.
n
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
n
- Solid communication and organisational skills.
n
- Ability to lead, motivate and support a team.
n
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
n
- Good attention to detail and high cleaning standards.
n
- Flexible to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
n
- Physically able to carry out cleaning duties.
n
- Right to work in the UK.
n
