We're hiring a Senior Security Operations Manager in Sydney.

KBC Security is seeking an experienced and senior security professional to take ownership of physical security operations for the Australian offices of a major international client.

n

This is a client-embedded leadership role, working closely with the client's APAC Regional Security team and senior local stakeholders. The successful candidate will have significant autonomy in managing day-to-day security operations while being supported by both KBC Security and the client's regional security structure.

The role

n

You will be responsible for the overall delivery and management of physical security operations across multiple corporate locations, including:

n

- Oversight and administration of electronic access control, CCTV, alarms and associated security systems
n
- Management and coordination of guarding operations and security service providers
n
- Access management for buildings, office suites and sensitive areas
n
- Conducting security inspections, audits and compliance reviews
n
- Managing security incidents, investigations, reporting and escalation to local and APAC security leadership
n
- Implementing and maintaining security policies, procedures and counter-terrorism and threat response measures
n
- Assisting with security risk assessments and the classification of buildings and sensitive internal areas
n
- Managing security compliance initiatives, including clear desk and workplace security programs
n
- Delivering security awareness training and inductions to employees and stakeholders
n




- Working closely with senior business leaders, facilities teams, regional security management and external service providers
n

This is a genuine senior security management position requiring someone who can confidently take ownership of a corporate security environment, make sound decisions independently and represent the security function with credibility at a senior level.

n

What we're looking for

n

We are particularly interested in candidates with significant experience within the banking, financial services or other highly regulated corporate environments.

n

The ideal candidate will have:

n

n
- Extensive experience in corporate physical security and security operations management
n
- Previous experience working within the banking or financial services sector is highly desirable
n
- Strong hands-on knowledge of electronic access control, CCTV and corporate security systems
n
- Experience managing guarding operations, security service providers and third-party contractors
n
- A strong understanding of corporate security risk, incident management, compliance and security governance
n




- The ability to work effectively with senior executives and regional/international security teams
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality incident and management reports
n
- The ability to operate independently while ensuring alignment with corporate security policies, standards and procedures
n
- NSW Security License
n

Experience within a major bank, financial institution, multinational corporate organisation, critical infrastructure environment or other high-security regulated industry will be highly regarded.

n

Hours: 0830 to 1730, Monday to Friday, with occasional work outside these hours as required by the business.

n
