Rowanos Restaurant is seeking an experienced Chef to join our Italian restaurant group in Melbourne. You will prepare and cook high-quality Italian dishes, work across multiple kitchen sections, and maintain the highest standards of food quality, safety and hygiene.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality Italian dishes according to restaurant standards
- Maintain consistency in presentation, portion control and food quality
- Assist with food preparation, stock rotation and ordering
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Work efficiently during busy restaurant services
- Work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team
- Follow recipes, procedures and cost-control requirements
About you
- Experience in Italian cuisine is highly regarded
- Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Robust communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, hardworking and willing to develop within the business
