Learn the whole loop, not one slice of it
Most junior marketing jobs hand you one slice. You pull the report for someone else’s campaign. You resize the creative. You update the spreadsheet. Two years later you still can’t build a campaign from scratch, land it on a page that converts, prove it worked, or fix it when it doesn’t.
Not here.
At Odin you’ll learn to own the campaign, the page it lands on, the tracking that measures it, and the report that explains it. The whole loop. We’ll teach you every part of it properly, and we’ll hand you real accounts as soon as you can hold them.
This is the role for someone at the start of their career who wants to become genuinely dangerous across all of digital marketing, and would rather learn it in one year than in five.
Who we are
Odin Digital exists for one reason: to make Australian businesses more money than they spend with us.
We run paid ads, SEO, websites and landing pages for clients ranging from public companies and national brands to serious local operators: trades, home services, retail, ecommerce and professional services.
Most of them are people who put their own money on the line to start something and took a risk on themselves. Our job is to help them get where they’re going and give them the best outcome humanly possible.
What we actually believe
- Profit over fluff. We obsess over the numbers that move a business. Impressions are not a result.
- AI first. We use AI daily and ship our own internal tools. If something is manual and repeatable, we’d rather automate it than hire around it.
- Long term. We hire people to grow with us. Nothing here is off limits.
We’re not a churn and burn agency. We treat every account like it’s our own business, and we’ll teach you to do the same.
What’s in it for you
- Training across the full stack. Paid media, websites and landing pages, tracking, automation, SEO and reporting. You don’t need to know any of it yet. We’ll spend the time and the money to train you in each one, in order, until you’re a full suite digital marketer. You will not be siloed into one channel and left there.
- Coaching you’ll actually feel. You’ll be coached directly by the people who run the accounts, every day, not at a yearly review. That’s a promise, not a perk listed on a careers page.
- A written first 90 days. Your first two weeks are shadowing. By day 30 you’re owning small pieces of real accounts. By day 90 you’re building real work with someone checking every piece of it. You’ll know exactly what’s expected at each step before you start.
- The keys to our own tooling. We build our own internal systems and automations. You’ll use them, and you’ll have a hand in building the next ones.
- A front row seat to AI in marketing.
You’ll work with AI tooling every day and sit right at the front of how this work is changing. Most marketers will learn this in three years. You’ll learn it this year.
- Promotion on competency, not tenure. Junior Specialist, then Specialist, then Senior Specialist, then Delivery Lead. You move when you can demonstrate the capability, not when the calendar says so.
- A bonus tied to what you deliver. Performance bonus on delivery outcomes.
- Team outings, on us. Regularly, and properly. Not a sad platter in the boardroom or cold pizza on the table.
What you’ll actually be doing
In your first 90 days:
- Shadow campaign builds on Meta and Google Ads, then build your own with a senior checking every one.
- Learn how tracking works end to end: Meta Pixel and Conversions API, Google Ads conversion actions, GA4 events, Google Tag Manager, and clean UTMs.
- QC websites and landing pages against our checklist and log everything that’s wrong.
- Pull weekly and monthly reports, on time, and learn to read what they’re telling you.
- Write down what you learn as SOPs and checklists the team will actually use.
Once you’ve earned it:
- Plan, build and optimise Meta and Google Ads campaigns on your own accounts: structure, budget pacing, split tests, creatives, copy and ongoing optimisation.
- Build, edit and fix landing pages, including the ones that aren’t converting.
- Implement and verify tracking without anyone holding your hand.
- Build automations that take repetitive work off the whole team.
- On page SEO: titles, meta descriptions, internal linking, technical clean up.
- Catch problems across campaigns, sites and tracking before they cost anybody money.
- Juggle competing deadlines across multiple accounts without letting the QC slip.
What good looks like at 90 days
- Campaign builds shipped on time and to our checklist, first time
- Landing pages QC’d with nothing missed
- Reports out on schedule and accurate
- Your QC error rate trending down month on month
- SOPs written that the team actually uses
What you need
- You’ve run at least one campaign on Meta or Google Ads. Your own thing, a uni project or a mate’s business all count. We care that you’ve touched the platform and watched a number move.
- You can write a clear sentence and follow a checklist without skipping steps.
- You’re comfortable with numbers.
You can read a spreadsheet and notice when one looks wrong.
- You’ve already used AI tools to get real things done.
- Melbourne based and able to be in our South Yarra office Monday to Friday.
A marketing degree helps. It isn’t required. Hunger, attention to detail and speed of learning matter more, and we’ll test for them.
How we work together
- Take ownership. See a problem, fix it or flag it. Don’t wait to be told.
- Check the work. You own the quality of what leaves the building, even in your first month.
- Low ego. Share the wins and the misses. Take feedback like an adult.
- Communicate early. Flag blockers with context, before they’re urgent.
- Ask early. Nobody expects you to know it yet. We do expect you to ask.
The deal
- $55,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation, depending on where you’re starting from
- Performance bonus tied to delivery outcomes
- Full time, Monday to Friday, in our South Yarra office
- A written 90 day plan from day one, and a transparent ladder after it
Who this is not for
We’d rather tell you now than waste an hour of your life in an interview.
- You want remote work. This role is in our South Yarra office, Monday to Friday. We’re building a real team and a serious culture, and you learn this job faster sitting next to the people who do it.
- You want to go deep on one channel and stay there. If the goal is to become the best Meta ads marketer in Melbourne, this is the wrong seat. If you want to become the best all round marketer you can be, you’ve found the right one.
- You wait to be taught. We’ll teach you a lot. But the people who do best here try first, then ask, then check the answer with us. If you’ve never Googled your way out of a problem, we’re not a fit.
- You want to skip the unglamorous parts. QC, reporting and documentation aren’t the tax on this job. They’re a big part of it, especially early.
- You’re not interested in AI. We use it daily and we build our own. Curiosity is welcome. Resistance isn’t.
- You see campaigns as a craft exercise. Every build here is somebody’s revenue. If a number failing to move doesn’t bother you, we’re not a fit.
- You’re looking for a twelve month stepping stone. We’re hiring someone to grow with us over years, not quarters. The training we put in only pays off if you stay to use it.
How we hire
- Application review
- Phone screen: a short call on your background, what you’ve built and your availability
- Structured interview: the same scored questions for everyone, so it’s fair and comparable
- Work assessment: a short practical task, about an hour. We care more about how you think and how fast you pick things up than how well you interview
- References and offer
