Melwood Joinery builds custom commercial joinery — one-off reception counters, joinery walls, bench runs and cabinetry — for builders and commercial fitouts across Victoria. Nothing here comes off a shelf, and neither does this job. Every delivery is different product, headed to a different site, for an install crew that's waiting on it.

The Role

Straight up: this isn't a standard 7–3:30 shift. Some days you're in early to get a load out before the install crew starts. Some days you're finishing later because a job needs product on site that afternoon. Hours move with the project, not the clock. If you need the exact same shift every single day, this isn't it. What You'll Do

- Deliver Melwood's joinery — safely, on time, and in one piece — to sites and builders across Victoria
- Load, secure and transport custom product that doesn't get a second chance if it's damaged in transit
- Own the dispatch area: keep it clean, organised and ready to load — this isn't an afterthought, it's part of the job
- Work with the factory team to sequence loads around production and install schedules
- Flex your start and finish times around what the project actually needs, not a fixed roster




- Pick up basic cabinet-making skills on the factory floor if you want to — genuinely, if you show interest, we'll teach you

What We're After

- Current LR (Light Rigid) licence — non-negotiable
- Confident driving and manoeuvring around Melbourne CBD — tight streets, loading zones, the works
- Someone reliable who can flex their hours around delivery and install schedules — early starts and later finishes are part of the deal
- A clean driving history — you're carrying product worth real money, and we need someone we can trust with it
- Someone who takes pride in a tidy, organised work area, not just the driving part
- Physically capable of loading/unloading and comfortable with manual handling
- Bonus points if you've got — or want — an interest in the trade; this role can grow into more if that appeals
- A team player who communicates early if a load's running late or something's not right
