An exciting locum chance is available for a Locum Surgical RMO to join a Surgical Relief line in the Northern Territory.

This role offers a mix of evening and night shifts, providing valuable exposure to surgical and acute presentations within a supportive hospital environment.

Clinical Setting

You will provide Surgical Relief cover across evening and night shifts in a supportive Northern Territory hospital setting.

- Broad surgical exposure – support surgical patients across acute and ward settings
- Evening and night cover – develop decision-making and acute management skills after hours
- Surgical Relief line – assist with ward reviews, acute presentations and clinical documentation
- Supportive team environment – work with consultants and registrars available when needed

Patient Demographic

You will support a broad surgical patient mix, including acute surgical presentations, ward-based surgical patients, post-operative patients and people requiring review, documentation, escalation or ongoing surgical care.

Key Duties

- Provide Surgical RMO cover across rostered evening and night shifts
- Review and manage surgical patients within scope
- Support ward-based care, acute reviews and patient flow
- Complete clinical documentation and handover
- Escalate patient concerns appropriately to senior medical staff
- Work collaboratively with surgical, nursing and hospital teams

Requirements

- Current General AHPRA Registration
- Minimum PGY2+ with surgical or acute care experience




- Australian working rights
- Ability to work safely within scope and escalate appropriately
- Current CV, references and compliance documents as required
