Are you an experienced Intermediate/Senior Tax Accountant or Business Services Accountant looking for a high-quality public practice role without the daily commute into the Perth CBD?

An excellent opportunity has become available to join a highly established, close-knit accounting practice based in Perth's inner eastern suburbs, just minutes from the CBD.

This location could particularly appeal to accountants living east, south-east or south of Perth who want easier access to work without travelling into the city every day.

The firm is led by two experienced Partners and has a stable team of accountants, with a strong focus on providing personalised tax, business services and advisory support to a long-standing SME and privately owned client base.

This position has become available following the departure of a Senior Accountant who had been with the practice for more than 10 years, highlighting the stability and long-term nature of the team.

The Opportunity
You will initially work closely with the Partners across a diverse portfolio of small to medium businesses, groups and larger privately owned clients, with the opportunity to progressively take ownership of your own client portfolio once established in the role.

Importantly, this is not simply a compliance position. One of the Partners is considering their longer-term retirement plans, creating a genuine succession opportunity for the right person to build strong client relationships, take ownership of an established portfolio and become a key long-term member of the practice.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparation and review of financial statements and income tax returns
- Complex tax compliance and advisory work
- Division 7A matters
- Tax planning and structuring
- Managing company, trust, partnership and individual clients
- Working directly with business owners




- Responding to client queries and providing proactive advice
- Progressively becoming the primary relationship manager for your own group of clients

About You
We are looking for a technically strong Intermediate/Senior Tax Accountant / Business Services Accountant who enjoys working directly with clients and wants to become an important long-term member of a practice.
You will ideally have:

- Robust Australian public practice accounting experience
- Solid business services, taxation and compliance knowledge
- Strong knowledge of Division 7A (for Senior level)
- Experience working with SME and privately owned business clients
- The ability to confidently prepare and review financial statements and tax returns
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills
- The confidence to eventually manage your own portfolio of clients
- CA/CPA qualifications completed or well progressed

The Firm
This is an established practice with a genuinely close-knit culture and a very stable client and employee base.

The firm uses modern systems including Xero Practice Manager, FYI, Hubdoc, CAS 360 and SharePoint.

There is also a strong social element to the practice. Every Friday, the Partners take the team out for lunch, regularly trying different restaurants around the local area.
