This senior role will provide commercial finance leadership across the organisation’s Communities segment and corporate Shared Services functions.

Reporting to the Head of Finance Business Partnering, you will work closely with operational and corporate leaders to strengthen financial performance, commercial decision-making and governance.

The Communities portfolio includes joint ventures and government-funded programs operating across extremely remote areas of Australia. Shared Services encompasses People and Culture, IT, Marketing, Internal Compliance and other corporate functions.

Opportunity

This is a broad senior finance partnering position combining commercial insight, financial governance and hands-on financial management. Responsibilities include:

- Partnering with Communities and Shared Services leaders to provide clear financial and commercial advice

- Challenging assumptions and identifying performance risks and opportunities

- Leading monthly P&L; reviews, variance analysis and financial performance commentary

- Preparing and presenting monthly business reviews

- Delivering quarterly financial reporting for three Communities joint ventures, including board-level reporting

- Leading budgeting and forecasting across operational businesses and corporate cost centres

- Monitoring Shared Services expenditure, cost allocations and financial accountability

- Supporting government-funded contracts, grant tracking, acquittals and external audits

- Coordinating corporate service fees,



internal allocations, dividends and profit-share distributions

- Developing financial models and providing commercial advice for tenders and current contracts

- Improving reporting, forecasting, controls and financial processes

- Providing informal leadership and guidance to finance colleagues and operational stakeholders

You

You will be a commercially minded and technically capable finance professional who can translate complex financial information into practical advice for non-finance stakeholders. You will bring:

- A degree in finance or accounting

- CA or CPA qualification

- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance-analysis experience

- Proven experience partnering with senior operational and corporate stakeholders

- Advanced financial analysis and modelling capability

- Experience with internal controls, compliance, audit and risk-management frameworks

- Experience using D365, Calumo or comparable financial and reporting platforms

- Strong presentation, communication and influencing skills

Experience involving government-funded programs, joint ventures, grants and acquittals, remote service delivery or complex cost-allocation environments will be highly regarded.
