Approx. $95,000 – $140,000+ per annum (depending on caseload) + Super

Our base annual income example is based on 12 clients per week across 48 working weeks per year.

A paediatric OT role designed around the therapist

Youth OT is a small, family-run paediatric Occupational Therapy practice servicing children, adolescents and young adults across the Gold Coast, Northern NSW and surrounding regions. As a registered NDIS provider, Youth OT gives you the confidence of working within established systems, policies and quality standards, with the compliance framework already in place to support your practice.

We believe that therapists provide their best care when they are properly supported themselves.

That means realistic caseloads, genuine flexibility, strong clinical support and an administration team handling the operational work around you, so you can spend more of your time being an Occupational Therapist.

We don't believe a full caseload should automatically mean an overloaded clinician.

Instead, we work with each therapist individually to build a schedule that works professionally and personally. Your preferred working days, hours, location, travel, caseload size and capacity are all considered when building your week.

Some therapists want a smaller caseload and more time outside of work. Others want to work more and maximise their income. Both can work within our model.

We have intentionally built Youth OT this way because we believe looking after our therapists is one of the most important things we can do to provide great care to our clients and families.

What working at Youth OT looks like

You will work with a paediatric caseload suited to your experience within the Gold Coast region, primarily providing therapy in clients' natural environments including homes, schools and early childhood settings.

Your caseload is built around your preferred workload, with a minimum of 12 clients per week.

Just as importantly, you are not expected to manage everything surrounding those appointments yourself.

Our administration team supports:

- New referrals and client enquiries

- Appointment bookings and scheduling

- Rescheduling and cancellations

- Invoicing and account administration

- General client administration and coordination

This means you can focus your time on therapy, clinical reasoning, documentation and supporting your clients and their families rather than running the administrative side of your own caseload.

You will also have access to our Clinical Lead for regular supervision and clinical support, including assistance with complex cases, clinical reasoning, reports and professional development.



Although you will have autonomy over your work, you won't be left to manage difficult clinical decisions alone.

We also make time for regular team catch-ups to stay connected, share ideas and support one another - without creating unnecessary meetings or taking over your personal time.

Your clinical role

On a typical week, you will:

- Manage a paediatric caseload aligned with your experience, preferred hours and capacity

- Assess occupational performance and participation using clinical observation and standardised assessments

- Develop individualised goals and therapy plans

- Provide evidence-based therapeutic intervention

- Work collaboratively with children, families, schools and other supports

- Travel to client locations including homes, schools and kindergartens

- Recommend environmental adaptations and strategies across home, school and community environments

- Complete clinical documentation, progress notes and correspondence

- Prepare reports including baseline reports, letters of support, Functional Capacity Assessments and NDIS review reports

- Maintain appropriate knowledge of Occupational Therapy practice requirements and the NDIS

Who we're looking for

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who values autonomy but also wants to be part of a supportive and accessible team.

You will require:

- A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy

- Unrestricted AHPRA registration

- Working with Children Check

- NDIS Worker Screening Check, or ability to obtain one

- Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance

- Personal Accident Insurance

- Current unrestricted drivers licence and reliable personal vehicle

- Current ABN

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Valuable organisation and time-management skills

Paediatric experience is essential, with two or more years preferred.

Experience working within the NDIS is also desirable.

These resources are provided at no cost to you and are designed to reduce unnecessary admin, support evidence-based practice and give you more time to focus on your clients.

Clinical support when you need it

Free clinical supervision is provided through our Clinical Lead, offered on a fortnightly or monthly basis depending on your needs.

You will always have someone available to discuss complex clients, clinical reasoning, reports and challenges that arise in practice.

Strong contractor remuneration

We offer high per-client remuneration plus superannuation, including payment for travel, eligible late cancellations and no-shows.

Your earning potential increases according to the caseload you choose to take on.

Work from wherever makes sense

Outside of appointments and travel, documentation and other non-face-to-face clinical work can generally be completed from home or another suitable location.

Take holidays when they work for you

As a contractor, there are no set annual leave periods. You determine when you take time away from work and communicate this with us so we can support your clients around those dates.
