- Progressive CA firm, high quality client portfolio, flexible work environment
My client is a dynamic accounting and advisory firm focused on delivering innovative solutions to their clients in the high-net-wealth and SME market.
In recent years, the firm has gone through a development phase restructuring its systems and processes to offer the most streamlined services to their clients. The practice currently consists of 4 Directors whom each run their own portfolio of clients with the support of both onshore and offshore team members. They also have a team of 3 client services staff that look after administration and EA support. As well as one dedicated SMSF accountant.
This is a newly created role that will work under one of the Directors (who in-person is extremely down-to-earth, approachable, and passionate). He has a premium portfolio of high-net-wealth family groups and trading businesses and currently manages this with the support of three offshore accountants that have worked with him for several years. This role is being recruited to help unlock the Director with the day-to-day client management and technical tax work, as well as assisting with workflow and management of the offshore staff in his team.
This is an interesting opportunity where you will be given a high degree of autonomy and client engagement,
as well as the opportunity to work with a quality client base and be part of a business entering an exciting recent growth trajectory. There is great longevity amongst the existing team which is a testament to the work culture on offer.
The firm’s key tech stack includes XPM, Xero and FYI docs.
Key duties will include:
- Manage the delivery of accounting and tax services for a portfolio of clients
- Assisting the Director with ad hoc advisory and consulting projects
- Manage client communication and relationships, establishing and maintaining trust and rapport
- Plan and manage workflow, allocating work to team members and providing feedback and guidance.
- Liaise with the ATO, ASIC and other external stakeholders in relation to client matters
The ideal candidate will possess:
- CA or CPA qualification
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting & taxation standards
- 5 + years experience working in public practice - including experience reviewing the work of junior or offshore team members
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and experience dealing directly with clients
- The desire to make a long-term career move and contribute to the growth fo the practice
