We also provide our hospitality and café customers with an extensive foodservices product range.

From our manufacturing operation in Wagga Wagga, we supply retail, hospitality and industrial customers across NSW, Victoria and ACT, including operating our own warehousing and distribution to these channels. Following a recent promotion, we have a fantastic new opportunity for a Casual Laboratory Technician to join our Wagga Wagga Quality team. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role collaborates with our Production Team to execute critical Food Safety and Quality Control functions for our customer partners. We are looking for team member with proven Food Safety and Quality Control experience, preferably in a Laboratory environment.

The successful applicant will be rostered to work 7am to 3pm on Saturdays, and 11am to 3pm on Sundays, and will also need flexibility to cover periods of annual leave for a day, afternoon and nightshift roster.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Sample collection and testing (microbiological, chemical, physical and organoleptic);

- Analysis, interpretation and reporting of test results;

- Environmental swabbing;

- Product Quality Control checks;

- Microbiological media preparation;

- Managing shelf-life retention samples;





- Laboratory consumables stock management;

- Documentation and record keeping;

- Computer data entry;

- Product/ finished goods release;

- General housekeeping and cleaning.

What we are looking for:

- Quality Control and laboratory experience, ideally within an FMCG organisation;

- Good understanding of Food Safety testing procedures;

- Experience with HACCP/ FSSC systems;

- Flexibility to work public holidays as required.

- High level of organisational skills;

- Experience with ERP systems preferred but not essential;

- Ability to work autonomously in a time critical environment;

- Ability to analyse information and make appropriate decisions;

- High degree of commitment to health and safety;

- Ability to build rapport with peers through interpersonal skills;

- High degree of attention to detail;

- Tertiary Food Science qualification preferred but not essential;

- Ability to use a computer and sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

- Flexibility to work a rotating shift roster;
