With the introduction of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), students can now pursue either the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) — reflecting our commitment to meaningful choice and academic excellence. While involvement in the IBDP is not a requirement for this role, we actively support staff who are interested in professional learning across both pathways.

The Role

This is a fixed-term, part-time position, commencing 06 October 2026 for Term 4 only. Additional 2027 opportunities for teaching Christian Education may be advertised separately during Term 4. This position will see you timetabled across Tuesday – Fridays working a 0.6FTE.



This role offers the opportunity to work with Middle and Senior Years students, building strong foundations and a deep appreciation for Christian Education.

The successful applicant will:

- Possess a personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and the ability to explain the historical Christian message based on his life, death and resurrection.
- Have expertise in teaching Christian Education across Years 7-12, with contextual understanding of the Australian Curriculum and relevant QCAA requirements.
- A strong commitment to teamwork is essential for success in this collaborative teaching workplace.
- Value innovation, engaging teaching strategies and ongoing professional growth.
- Understand the importance of positive relationships in creating effective and inclusive learning environments.
- Hold current Queensland College of Teacher registration and relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Attend a Christian church regularly and actively contribute to their faith community with endorsement from their Senior Minister.

Employment Classification

The salary and conditions of employment for Academic staff are in accordance with the Presbyterian and Methodist Schools Association (PMSA) Enterprise Agreement 2025, as varied or replaced from time-to-time.
