As a Partnerships Intern, you'll help bring Universal film campaigns to life by working with well-known brands, retailers and promotional partners. You'll support the team with campaign planning, partnership research, event coordination, reporting and identifying creative opportunities that connect audiences with NBCUniversal films and content. You'll gain hands-on experience across marketing, brand partnerships and the entertainment industry while supporting movie releases from concept through to campaign execution
Regular Duties:
- Attend weekly Marketing, Partnerships and Exhibition team WIPs
- Attend monthly Consumer Products & Home Entertainment WIPs
Database Management:
- Update the partnerships database to ensure contacts are most current
Research:
- Research potential partners for film specific promotions e.g.: competitor activity, media monitoring and browsing (online, media, supermarkets, retailers)
- Research competitor brand partnership programs and prepare competitor reports on major competitive titles
- Research competitor exhibitor promotional activity and prepare competitor exhibition program reports on major competitive titles
- Research major sporting, seasonal and music events with a view to potential partnership tie in with Universal film releases
- Sourcing leads and contacts at brands to refine pitch lists to Partnerships team
Reporting:
- Assist in creation of exhibition post-campaign reports
- Assist in creation of third-party partner post-campaign reports
Merchandise:
- Prize fulfillment and sending out merchandise to winners
- Sending out in-season passes to partners
Events / Screenings:
- General administrative and event support at screenings and premiere events
Admin:
- Take minutes during Partnerships and Exhibition team WIPs
- Sign up to exhibitors’ EDMs and report major campaign activities with competitor titles on a regular basis
- Sign up and review industry publications to stay across industry news, product launches, brand partnership opportunities, updated contacts
- Other ad-hoc admin tasks as briefed
