Sharp & Carter is partnering with a large, well-established organisation to appoint a Head of Pricing into a highly influential commercial leadership role.

Operating across a complex portfolio of products, customers and channels, this role will act as the organisation’s pricing subject matter expert, partnering closely with senior leaders across Finance, Sales and Marketing.

Rather than simply owning pricing execution, you will help shape how the broader organisation thinks about pricing – providing the frameworks, insights, challenge and commercial expertise required to drive sustainable revenue and margin improvement.

The Role

Working across multiple business areas, you will provide specialist expertise around pricing strategy, customer value, segmentation, price architecture and value capture.
You will partner with commercial teams to identify opportunities, challenge existing approaches and ensure significant pricing decisions are supported by robust analysis and a clear understanding of the commercial trade-offs.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Developing and embedding practical pricing frameworks, methodologies and decision-making tools
- Providing specialist advice on complex and strategically important pricing decisions
- Partnering with Finance, Sales and Marketing to identify opportunities to improve price realisation and margin
- Assessing customer value, willingness to pay, segmentation and opportunities for price differentiation
- Reviewing pricing structures across products, customer groups and channels
- Identifying margin leakage, unnecessary discounting and inconsistencies within existing pricing models
- Providing expertise across price-volume-mix, elasticity, discounting and scenario analysis
- Challenging assumptions and evaluating the potential impact of pricing decisions on revenue, volume, mix and margin
- Supporting commercial teams to develop stronger internal pricing capability




- Providing senior stakeholders with clear, commercially focused recommendations from complex analysis

About You
This chance will suit an experienced pricing or commercial leader who combines strong analytical capability with genuine commercial judgement.
You are likely to have significant experience across pricing, revenue management, commercial strategy, finance or a related discipline, ideally gained within a large and complex organisation.

Experience within consumer goods, manufacturing, retail, distribution, trade or another product-led environment would be highly regarded, particularly where you have worked across multiple customer segments or B2B and B2C channels.

Most importantly, you will bring:

- Deep understanding of pricing strategy, architecture, segmentation and value capture
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- The ability to turn complex analysis into practical commercial decisions
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders without relying on direct authority
- Confidence constructively challenging established thinking
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- A track record of developing frameworks and lifting commercial capability across an organisation
