Fabrication Supervisor - Reinforcement Cage Manufacturing

Reporting to the Production Manager / Operations Manager, you will oversee day-to-day fabrication activities and lead a team of fabricators and production personnel. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with strong experience in steel reinforcement, cage fabrication, structural steel, or a similar manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for supervising production, coordinating the fabrication team, maintaining high safety and quality standards, and ensuring cages are manufactured efficiently and to specification.

Key responsibilities

- Supervising daily reinforcement cage fabrication and production activities
- Leading, allocating and coordinating fabrication staff to meet production targets
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, fabrication schedules and specifications
- Ensuring reinforcement cages are fabricated accurately and in accordance with project requirements
- Monitoring production output, quality, labour utilisation and workflow
- Coordinating materials, equipment and resources to minimise production delays
- Identifying and resolving fabrication, quality and production issues
- Ensuring compliance with WHS requirements,



company procedures and quality standards
- Liaising with project, engineering, logistics and management teams to ensure production schedules are achieved

About you

- Previous supervisory or leading-hand experience in reinforcement steel, cage fabrication, steel fabrication, or manufacturing
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a production team
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality
- Solid understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- Ability to work effectively under production deadlines
- Relevant trade qualification or industry experience is highly regarded
