Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist - Senior

We're excited to welcome a Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist (ROMP) – Senior to provide a high level of scientific and technological expertise for the delivery of safe and accurate Radiation Oncology (RO) treatments in accordance with Sunshine Coast Health (SCH) and Queensland Health goals.

We are seeking an ACPSEM registered ROMP to integrate into the existing operational structure and be capable of working across the Quality Assurance (QA) & Dosimetry and Treatment Planning portfolios. The department has 3 matched Elekta Versa HD linacs, Brainlab Dynamic, Monaco treatment planning system (TPS) and Mosaiq record and verify (R&V;) system, a Siemens definition CT scanner supported by motion management & artefact reduction algorithms, with additional access to PET/CT and CT/MRI imaging facilities in the Medical Imaging department.

The Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist – Senior requires low levels of supervision, provides training to registrars, new staff members and other professional groups within the RO department. The successful candidate will be required to undertake management of development projects within the work unit.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Display a high level of knowledge of Radiation Oncology Medical Physics.
- Provide high level clinical advice,



education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding Radiation Therapy service delivery.
- Provide leadership oversight and clinical practice supervision to less experienced Radiation Oncology Medical Physicists as delegated.
- Communicate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to influence the culture towards a common, patient-centred vision and direction of the Radiation Oncology service.

Remuneration value up to $212,867 p.a., comprising salary between $173,377- $186,568 p.a., inclusive of MPARI allowance, employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4).
