Please note: This role is open to candidates holding a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Children's Services only. Applications from candidates holding a Graduate Diploma or Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) qualification will not be considered for this position.

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing, stimulating and safe environment where children can learn, grow and develop during their crucial early years. This role is essential to our mission of providing high-quality early childhood education and care that supports each child's individual development and wellbeing.

What you'll be doing

- Planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities and play-based learning experiences that foster cognitive, physical, social and emotional development
- Providing direct care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety, health and wellbeing at all times
- Building positive relationships with children and families, communicating regularly with parents about their child's progress and development
- Maintaining a clean, hygienic and safe learning environment that complies with all health and safety regulations
- Observing and documenting children's development and learning to inform future planning and support individualised learning goals
- Collaborating with colleagues and other early childhood professionals to ensure consistent,



high-quality care and education
- Supporting children with special needs or additional developmental requirements, working with families and specialists as needed
- Participating in professional development opportunities and staying current with best practice in early childhood education

What we're looking for

Please note: We are specifically seeking candidates with a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Children's Services. We are not accepting applications from candidates with a Graduate Diploma or Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) qualification for this role.

A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Children's Services —Graduate Diploma and ECT qualifications are not applicable for this role

- Current First Aid and CPR certification appropriate for working with young children
- A Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one) as required by Victorian legislation
- Genuine passion for working with young children and commitment to fostering their development and wellbeing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Experience in planning and delivering play-based learning activities and educational programs
- Knowledge of child development theories and contemporary early childhood education practices
- Ability to work as part of a team whilst also using initiative and working independently
- Attention to detail,



with strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety and hygiene in the childcare environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of children and families
