Tow Truck Driver / Tilt Tray Operator – Accident & Recovery

We are a premier, high-volume smash repairer and towing specialist. Known for our rapid response and top-tier vehicle restoration, we keep our community moving when accidents happen. Our yard is fast-paced, our team is tight-knit, and our workload is highly consistent. We are currently seeking an experienced, reliable Tow Truck Driver to join our team and handle accident scenes, vehicle recovery, and workshop transfers.

The Role

This is not a standard point-A to point-B transport job. You will be on the front line of our accident response team. Key responsibilities include:

- Responding promptly to dispatch calls for accident towing and emergency vehicle recovery.
- Safely loading, securing, and transporting damaged vehicles back to our smash repair facility or designated yards.
- Operating tilt trays and recovery equipment efficiently under pressure.
- Assessing accident scenes quickly to determine the safest method of vehicle extraction.
- Providing exceptional, empathetic customer service to motorists at stressful accident scenes.
- Maintaining clear communication with our dispatch team and workshop management.

What We Are Looking For





- Licence Requirements: MR Licence required. DA preferred although can be obtained.
- Experience: Proven experience operating a tilt tray, tow truck, or vehicle recovery equipment (accident towing experience highly regarded).
- Availability: Flexibility to participate in a rotating on-call roster, including nights and weekends.
- Mindset: A calm head in a fast-paced environment, strong problem-solving skills, and a solid work ethic.
- Fitness: Physically fit and capable of handling the physical demands of vehicle recovery (chains, hooks, and heavy lifting).
- Credentials: Ability to obtain or hold a valid Tow Truck Driver Certificate/Accreditations as required by local state regulations.
