Tonna Heating & Cooling is looking for a motivated and reliable HVAC Apprentice to join our growing team.

Based in Melbourne’s west, Tonna Heating & Cooling works across residential new builds, existing homes, custom projects, commercial installations, service and maintenance.

With more than 40 years in the industry, our business has been built on quality workmanship, reliable service and long-term relationships with builders, homeowners and commercial clients.

We’re looking for someone who is keen to learn, takes pride in their work and wants to develop their skills within an established and supportive company.

About the Apprenticeship

As an apprentice with Tonna Heating & Cooling, you’ll gain practical experience working alongside experienced tradespeople across a wide range of HVAC and mechanical plumbing projects.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn and develop skills in:

- Reverse-cycle ducted systems
- Split and multi-split systems
- Bulkhead systems
- VRV/VRF systems
- Custom residential projects
- System replacements and upgrades
- Commercial installations
- Service and fault finding
- Refrigeration and air-conditioning systems
- Mechanical plumbing and associated works

No two days will necessarily be the same, giving you exposure to different systems, environments and types of work throughout your apprenticeship.

- Is reliable, punctual and has a strong work ethic
- Is willing to learn and take direction
- Takes pride in doing things properly
- Has positive attention to detail
- Works well as part of a team
- Is respectful and professional with customers, builders and other trades
- Looks after tools, equipment and vehicles
- Is committed to completing their apprenticeship and developing their trade skills




- Has a current driver's licence or is working towards obtaining one

Previous experience in HVAC, plumbing, construction or another trade is an advantage, but attitude and willingness to learn are more important.
