About the role

We are seeking a Customer Service Officer to join our Customer Service team at our Ballarat office. This is a full-time, on-site role reporting to the Customer Service Manager. The position operates on a rotating roster between 8:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, and includes a rotating half-day Saturday roster. We are open to considering part time applicants, with the opportunity for the role to transition to a permanent full-time position.

Key responsibilities

Handling inbound sales calls and accurately entering orders into the system

Reviewing web-based orders to confirm stock availability and delivery dates





Serving counter sales customers in a polite and efficient manner

Processing orders and payments using EFTPOS, cash and internal systems

Assisting sales representatives with orders and invoicing

Supporting warehouse staff with order fulfilment activities

Assisting drivers with order sequencing, route planning and delivery enquiries

Providing customers with product information and support

Completing daily cash reconciliation

About you

Minimum 2 years' experience in a phone-based customer service role

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work efficiently in a busy, team-based environment

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask

A proactive, problem-solving mindset

Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Ability to follow processes, take direction and adapt to change

Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
