About the Company & Role

Join a well-established plastics manufacturer supplying products across a range of industries. We are seeking a mechanically minded Process Technician to join our night shift team in a stable, long-term opportunity with immediate start available.

- Shift: Night shift, 10pm–6am
n
- Days: Monday night to Saturday morning
n
- Type: Ongoing casual contract with strong potential for permanency within a stable manufacturing environment
n

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‐on technical work, thrives in a fast‐paced production environment, and has solid troubleshooting ability.

n

Key Duties

n

n
- Monitor machinery throughout the shift to ensure smooth, continuous operation.
n
- Identify early signs of mechanical issues and take corrective action to minimise downtime.
n
- Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and meet production targets.
n
- Perform full set‐ups and changeovers of dies, moulds,



and associated equipment according to production requirements.
n
- Dismantle machinery components safely and efficiently for cleaning, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
n
- Diagnose mechanical or process issues and implement solutions to restore optimal performance.
n
- Work closely with maintenance teams when escalated repairs are required.
n
- Conduct thorough cleaning of production equipment, ensuring all components are free from contamination.
n

Skills & Experience

n

n
- Trade qualification, engineering studies, or relevant manufacturing experience highly regarded.
n
- Experience in plastics, extrusion, blow moulding, injection moulding, packaging, FMCG, pharmaceutical or related manufacturing environments
n
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
n
- Experience performing machine changeovers and adjustments
n
- Forklift licence preferred
n
- Reliable and committed to working permanent night shift
