Qualifications:

a minimum of Certificate 3 in Carpentry or equivalent; at least 3 years of work experience may substitute for a qualification.

Duties description:

n

Please note that the applicant is expected to demonstrate if they had similar duties and did the same work, for at least 3 years in the past.

- Interpret Project Drawings and Specifications: Study construction blueprints and specifications to determine required materials, precise dimensions, and proper installation methods for each stage of the project.
n
- Material Selection and Ordering: Select, order, and source timber and other construction materials based on project specifications,



ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. Prepare detailed layouts and plans for construction based on these selections.

- Cutting, Shaping, and Assembling Materials: Measure, cut, and shape timber and other materials using appropriate tools. Assemble and secure parts by nailing or screwing, ensuring accuracy and structural integrity in all components.

- Framework and Roof Installation: Erect the building's framework, including walls, beams, and roof trusses, ensuring proper alignment and level. Install sub-flooring and floorboards, verifying that all structures are square and stable.

- Exterior and Final Touches: Install fascia panels, roof sheathing, and exterior wall cladding. Fit and secure door and window frames, ensuring exact installation for functionality and aesthetic appeal.
