About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Accounts Manager to lead the day-to-day management of our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
This is a key role within the finance team, responsible for ensuring transactions are processed accurately and efficiently, financial records are maintained to a high standard, and strong cash flow is supported across the business.
You’ll lead and develop the accounts team, build strong relationships with customers and suppliers, and identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and efficiencies. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you’ll play an important role in supporting the continued growth of Grove.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable function, ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and within required timeframes.
Oversee supplier reconciliations and resolve invoice discrepancies efficiently.
Ensure payments are made in accordance with agreed terms and cash flow requirements.
Maintain strong, professional relationships with suppliers and respond promptly to enquiries.
Monitor outstanding payables and work proactively to resolve issues.
Accounts Receivable
Oversee the end-to-end accounts receivable function, including invoicing, collections and cash allocations.
Monitor customer accounts and proactively manage outstanding balances to support timely payment.
Develop and maintain effective credit control processes and procedures.
Leadership & Process Improvement
Lead, mentor and develop the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team.
Allocate workloads effectively and monitor team performance.
Foster a positive, accountable and high-performing team environment.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve systems, processes and operational efficiencies.
Develop, maintain and improve documented procedures across AR and AP.
Support the implementation of new finance systems, technologies and process improvements as required.
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
You will ideally have:
Proven experience managing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
Previous leadership, team management or supervisory experience.
A strong understanding of accounting principles,
financial controls and cash flow management.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
High-level proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership, coaching and team development skills.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
A professional and customer-focused mindset.
The ability to build positive and effective relationships across all levels of the business.
A high level of integrity, discretion and confidentiality.
