FIFO Maintenance Painter

THE POSITION

n

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

n

n
- Carrying out painting maintenance and refurbishment works across accommodation villages and site facilities
n
- Preparing surfaces including patching, sanding, scraping and cleaning prior to painting
n
- Applying paints, coatings and finishes to a high standard across interior and exterior assets
n
- Completing preventative and reactive maintenance painting tasks
n
- Identifying defects and reporting maintenance requirements to supervisors
n
- Maintaining painting equipment and ensuring a clean and safe work area
n
- Working collaboratively with plumbers, electricians, refrigeration technicians and other trades
n
- Contributing to the delivery of safe, comfortable and well-maintained village environments
n

THE PERSON

n

To be successful, you will possess:

n

n
- Trade qualification in Painting and Decorating or demonstrated industry experience
n




- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, coatings and surface preparation
n
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-trade team
n
- Current C Class Driver's Licence
n
- Current National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one
n
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug and Alcohol screening
n
- Must reside in Western Australia and be able to FIFO from Perth Airport
n
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance, construction, mining or remote environments highly regarded
n
