We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Transport Coordinator to support the planning and coordination of transportation activities of oversized and critical infrastructure equipment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication skills, and takes pride in ensuring transport arrangements are managed efficiently and accurately.
About the Role
As the Transport Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating transportation bookings, liaising with external vendors, maintaining transport tracking systems, and supporting the preparation of transport documentation. You will play a key role in ensuring transport activities are organised, visible, and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate transportation bookings with freight and logistics providers.
- Obtain transport quotations from vendors and assist with supplier engagement.
- Raise purchase orders and ensure accurate processing within company systems.
- Maintain transport dashboards and reporting tools to provide visibility of transport arrangements and status updates.
- Support the preparation of Transport Management Plans and other transport-related documentation as required.
- Monitor and track transport activities, escalating issues where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and data within company systems.

- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- A disciplined and proactive approach to maintaining IT systems and records.
- The ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
- A willingness to learn and contribute as part of a collaborative team.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Experience using Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience with Epicor Kinetic or a similar ERP system will be highly regarded.
- Previous experience within transport, logistics, freight, supply chain, or a related field is advantageous but not essential.
- Relevant qualifications in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or a related discipline will be viewed favourably.
