Troocoo is partnering with a large Federal Government organisation to recruit a Training Specialist for an initial contract commencing October 2026 through to 30 June 2027, with potential extension options.

Based in Canberra, this is an excellent opportunity for experienced learning and development professionals who enjoy facilitating engaging training, working with subject matter experts and translating complex information into practical, easy-to-understand learning experiences.

You will support a significant reform program involving changes to legislation, business processes and ICT systems, helping internal staff and stakeholders understand and confidently adopt new ways of working.

The Role

- Deliver instructor-led training, workshops, briefings and information sessions
- Facilitate both face-to-face and virtual training
- Translate complex policy, regulatory, operational and system changes into transparent learning experiences
- Coordinate training schedules, participant communications and supporting logistics
- Develop clear and accessible training materials and learning content
- Assess learner understanding and adapt your facilitation approach where required
- Gather and analyse participant feedback to continuously improve training outcomes




- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Report on participation, engagement, feedback and capability outcomes.

About You

- Demonstrated experience delivering instructor-led training, workshops or capability development programs
- Strong presentation, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience delivering learning in both virtual and face-to-face environments
- The ability to simplify complex policy, legislation, business processes or system information
- Experience evaluating training effectiveness and identifying improvements
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple training activities
- Confidence working with subject matter experts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications in Training and Workplace Assessment or a related discipline, and experience delivering training connected to regulatory reform or ICT systems, will be highly regarded.

Contract Dates: 13/10/26 - 30/06/27
Rate: $60 - $68 per hour + 12% Super
Location: Canberra CBD
