We're seeking experienced policy professionals to join our high-performing Local Land Services Policy team. Working in a supportive and collaborative environment, you'll partner with passionate colleagues who are committed to delivering practical outcomes for communities, landholders and the environment.

This is your opportunity to work on complex and high-profile policy, legislative and Cabinet coordination matters, providing advice that informs executive and government decision‑making. You'll contribute to initiatives that support sustainable land management, biodiversity and broader regional outcomes, while building robust relationships across government and with key stakeholders.

About The Role

As a Senior Policy Officer, you'll play a key role in researching, analysing and developing policy solutions that support strategic priorities across Local Land Services. You can contribute to policy and legislative reform, biodiversity and land management initiatives, Cabinet coordination, Ministerial and executive briefings, and cross‑government policy projects. Working with stakeholders across government, industry and the community, you'll provide evidence‑based advice on complex and often sensitive issues while helping shape policy outcomes that deliver real benefits across regional NSW.

Key Responsibilities





- Provide strategic policy and legislative analysis and advice.
- Lead or contribute to complex policy, reform and regulatory projects.
- Prepare high‑quality Cabinet, Ministerial and executive briefs, reports and correspondence.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement and consultation activities.
- Identify emerging issues, risks and opportunities to inform decision‑making.
- Monitor and evaluate policy initiatives and recommend improvements.
- Support collaboration across Local Land Services, DPIRD and partner agencies.

About You

We're looking for policy professionals who can think strategically, communicate complex information clearly and build productive relationships across a diverse stakeholder landscape.

You Will Bring

- Demonstrated experience in policy development, implementation, review or legislative reform.
- Strong analytical, research and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience preparing high‑quality written advice, briefings and reports.
- Knowledge of government decision‑making processes, including policy and legislative frameworks.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a rapid‑paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills
