About the role

We are seeking an experienced and personable Tour Driver Guide to join our team at our Ringwood, Victoria location. This is a full-time or part-time position that combines professional driving skills with expert local and regional knowledge. As a Tour Driver Guide, you will be the face of Royal Discovery Holiday, responsible for safely transporting guests whilst delivering engaging commentary and ensuring an exceptional experience from start to finish. This role is pivotal to our reputation, as you will be the primary point of contact for our guests throughout their journey, creating lasting impressions and building loyalty to our brand.

Key responsibilities

- Operate tour vehicles safely and professionally, adhering to all road regulations and company safety protocols
- Deliver engaging, informative, and entertaining commentary about destinations, local history, culture, and attractions to enhance guest experience
- Ensure the comfort and safety of all passengers, including assisting with boarding, seating arrangements,



and addressing any concerns or requirements
- Maintain the tour vehicle in a clean, well-maintained, and presentable condition at all times
- Plan and execute tour routes efficiently, managing time effectively to ensure schedules are met
- Interact professionally and courteously with guests, responding to questions and providing personalised service
- Coordinate with tour operators and other team members to ensure seamless tour operations
- Monitor passenger comfort and safety throughout the tour, taking appropriate action if needed
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle condition, fuel, and passenger numbers as required
- Promote Royal Discovery Holiday services and encourage positive reviews and word-of-mouth recommendations

What we're looking for

- Current, valid Australian driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Passenger Vehicle (CPV) as required by law for the vehicle type being operated
- Proven experience as a tour driver, tour guide, or in a similar customer-facing role within the tourism or hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of Victorian attractions, local history, geography, and cultural points of interest




- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Skilled, friendly, and customer-service-oriented attitude with a genuine passion for hospitality
- Ability to manage multiple passengers and respond calmly to various situations
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Physical fitness and ability to work full-time hours, including early starts and occasional extended days
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to safety standards
- Experience with coach or minibus operation is highly desirable
- Knowledge of disability access requirements and ability to assist passengers with varying mobility needs is valued
