About the company/role:

Our client is a value-added protein manufacturer with a state-of-the-art facility based in Western Sydney. They supply innovative meal solutions to major retailers and leading QSR across Australia. This is a full-time, 3-6 month casual role with standard office hours. However, there are permanent opportunities. This is a cross-functional role works closely with Development Chefs, Production, Quality, Supply Chain and Procurement.

Duties:

- Development and implementation of new products, processes and packaging
n
- Project management from initiation through to completion
n
- Work on costings and feasibility
n
- Collaborate with Specification Technologist on documentation
n
- Running factory trials accurately and to production schedule
n




- Administration and data recording of all trial information
n
- Liaise with members of various departments – Development Chefs, Production, Procurement, Quality
n

Skills/experience:

n

n
- Degree qualifications in Food Science or equivalent essential
n
- Recent experience in a PD role with RTE meals and meat products is preferable
n
- Proven understanding of all legislative requirements required for labelling and products
n
- Creative and ability to think outside the box combined with a positive, driven and determined personality
n
- Ability to work in a rapid-moving environment
n
- Liaise and communicate with stakeholders at all levels
