Project Manager | Field Based | Commissioning

As demand for critical electrical infrastructure continues to grow across data centres, utilities, industrial, and commercial sectors, we're looking for a Commissioning Manager / Field Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, customer-facing projects.

This is an opportunity for an experienced project delivery professional to take ownership of site-based execution, lead multidisciplinary teams, and deliver critical electrical infrastructure projects from installation through to commissioning and handover. Whether your background is in engineering or the electrical trades, you'll bring proven project management experience and a passion for delivering successful outcomes.

What you'll do

As part of our PMO team, you’ll play a critical role in delivering customer projects safely, on time, and within budget. You will:

- Lead site-based project delivery across the full project lifecycle.
- Develop project execution, installation, commissioning, and resource plans to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Coordinate customers, contractors, vendors, subcontractors, and field service resources.
- Manage project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Monitor project progress, financial performance, schedules, and key delivery milestones.




- Build strong customer relationships and act as the primary point of contact throughout project execution.
- Provide leadership across complex project environments while driving safety, quality, and compliance standards.

What we're looking for

We're open to candidates from critical power, electrical infrastructure, data centres, utilities, industrial automation, building services, electrical contracting, construction, or related industries.

- A Commissioning Manager seeking larger and more complex projects.
- A Field Project Manager or Electrical Project Manager looking to further develop your career within critical infrastructure.
- A Site Manager with established project delivery responsibility and commissioning experience.
- An experienced project delivery qualified with a strong background managing electrical installation and commissioning activities.

You’ll bring

- Proven experience delivering electrical infrastructure, commissioning, construction, critical power, or related projects.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including managing scope, schedules, budgets, contractors, and project risks.
- Strong understanding of installation, testing, commissioning, and project handover processes.
- Experience leading site teams, contractors, subcontractors, and technical resources.
- Strong stakeholder management and customer relationship skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.
- The ability to manage competing priorities within complex project environments.
