We are looking for a Civil Estimator to join our team. The role will involve compiling and delivering quotes using Xero with the plans supplied by our customers. We're seeking someone with experience in this field who can demonstrate a high level of initiative and drive, while continuously seeking ways to improve the company's competitive edge.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following competencies:

- Experience in estimating bulk earthworks, pavements, roads, drainage, concrete, retaining walls and foundations.
- 1-4 years + experience in the Construction Industry
- Robust communication skills in both written and verbal form
- Sound computer literacy
- Problem solving - deductive reasoning and analytical thinking
- Seek and engage new clients, contracts and suppliers




- Preparing bids and tenders for various infrastructure projects including bridges, intersections, roads and drainage etc
- Monitor current competitive prices, new techniques and cost trends
{"Lan"}i>Develop accurate estimates through first principles pricing of direct and indirect job costs
- Develop, train and identify improvements to the tendering systems, including facilitation of the improvement and upskilling the team
- Liaise with the management staff to ensure accurate cost estimation and Tender Evaluation.
- Quoting and tender research
- Site inspections
