National Rural Independents (NRI) is a leading service provider in the rural retail sector. We are seeking an Events & Business Support Coordinator to join our team. This is a diverse and hands-on role that combines event coordination, business administration and front-of-house customer service.
Working closely with the Office Manager, CEO and broader team, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of conferences, meetings and stakeholder events, while also helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our office.

About the Role
As the Events & Business Support Coordinator, you will:
- Coordinate and support the delivery of conferences, meetings and business events.
- Organise event logistics including venues, catering, registrations and travel arrangements.
- Provide administrative support to the Office Manager, CEO and wider team.
- Prepare and format correspondence, reports and presentations.
- Maintain company systems, contact records and databases.
- Act as the first point of contact for shareholders, suppliers and visitors.
- Manage incoming enquiries, phone calls, mail and office administration activities.
- Support stakeholder communications and event promotions.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Previous experience in administration, event coordination or business support.
- Experience coordinating meetings, travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Solid organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive and positive approach to work.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint.
