About The Position

St Ives Dental Group is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Dental Assistant to join our team on a casual basis.

n

This is a hands‐on role where you'll work closely with our dentists and wider team across a variety of general dental procedures. No two days are exactly the same, so it's a great opportunity to keep building your skills, broaden your dental knowledge and be part of a team that genuinely enjoys working together.

Key Responsibilities

- Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort.
n
- Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organised treatment area.
n
- Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well‐stocked and organised.
n
- Patient Education: Provide patients with post‐operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care.
n
- Team Collaboration:



Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.
n
- Compliance: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.

What Do You Need To Succeed

n

n
- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is essential
n
- A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial but not mandatory
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
- Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast‐paced environment
n
- Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
n
- Attention to detail
