About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ADABAS Natural Developer to join a major enterprise technology program focused on enhancing and supporting mission-critical applications.
Working within a collaborative technology team, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing applications built on ADABAS and Natural, while contributing to system design, technical documentation, support activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining ADABAS/Natural applications
- Producing technical specifications and solution designs
- Conducting code reviews and ensuring development standards are maintained
- Troubleshooting, analysing and resolving application issues
- Supporting project delivery and system enhancements
- Collaborating with architects, analysts, developers and business stakeholders
- Contributing to documentation,
process improvement and knowledge sharing activities
The Successful Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Commercial experience developing within ADABAS and Natural environments
- Strong Natural programming capability across both online and batch processing
- Experience performing solution design, code reviews and technical analysis
- Knowledge of ADABAS database manipulation and optimisation
- Experience with JCL, TSO and partitioned data sets
- Exposure to broader web technologies such as HTML, XML, CSS, AJAX, JSP or Java
- Experience working within structured software development methodologies including Agile and Waterfall environments
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency or Current Zealand Citizenship
