Description
- Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards within the warehouse.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records.
- Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff to achieve operational goals.
- Implement and maintain warehouse processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to improve distribution workflows.
- Handle any operational issues and resolve them promptly.
Profile
A successful Warehouse Supervisor / Manager should have:
- Proven experience in warehouse management, logistics, freight forwarding or import operations.
- Strong organisational, people leadership and team management skills,
with a hands on approach to driving operational performance.
- Experience managing bonded warehouse (77G) operations and ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of DAFF and ABF regulations, with the ability to liaise directly with government authorities and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems, warehouse processes and CargoWise software.
- Sound understanding of warehouse safety, compliance and operational best practice.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and continuous improvement capabilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with customs brokers, freight forwarders, transport providers and customers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapid-paced import and distribution environment while maintaining high service levels and compliance standards.
