The Position

Kempe Engineering is seeking a Workshop Supervisor for our Geelong-based workshop.

The role involves managing a team of trades personnel to complete overhauls, repairs and assembly of components, as well as overseeing the machine shop, assembly equipment and processes. You'll need strong technical knowledge of manufacturing, machining and assembly processes, along with the ability to liaise effectively with clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Work in a safe and productive manner.
- Technical management of work processes.
- Support continuous improvement of Kempe's processes
- Provide technical support to ensure all works are completed to all health, safety,



environment and quality requirements.
- Liaise with client engineers on re-work priorities, progress and follow-up
- Work order and work team supervision

- Leading workplace culture transformation within your team
- Implementing QA systems, processes and procedures to meet ISO accreditation
- Championing continuous improvement of systems and procedures
- Delivering improvements against targets and KPIs
- Lifting technical practices across the team
- Building strong, healthy relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Guiding and mentoring apprentices

To be Successful in the role you will have

- A proactive approach to safety
- A trade qualification as a Fitter and Turner, including machining
- Strong CNC machining experience would be highly regarded
- Proven experience leading and managing small work teams
- Strong teamwork skills
- A current driver's license
- Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Confident, professional communication via Outlook
