This is an excellent opportunity forsomeone who wants to build experience across transport planning, trafficengineering, road safety, parking management, active travel and developmentreferrals. You'll help shape a safer, more connected transport network forGreater Dandenong. You'll investigate transport issues, develop practicalsolutions and deliver projects that improve safety, accessibility and travelchoice. From planning through to delivery, you'll gain experience across:

- Traffic and parking investigations
- Road safety improvements
- Walking and cycling projects
- Parking policy and management
- Development referrals
- Freight and access issues
- Community and stakeholder engagement

Aboutyou





You're amotivated transport professional who enjoys solving complex transportchallenges and delivering practical outcomes for the community. You have astrong understanding of transport planning, traffic engineering or road safety,and enjoy working with a range of stakeholders to improve how people movearound a city. You are analytical, customer-focused and able to balancetechnical requirements with community needs. You will have:

- Adegree in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experiencein transport engineering, traffic engineering, transport planning or a relatedfield.
- Experienceinvestigating traffic, parking, road safety and transport matters.
- Stronganalytical skills, including experience interpreting traffic, parking and crashdata.
- Experiencereviewing traffic impact assessments, development applications or planningreferrals.
- Knowledgeof relevant transport, planning and road management frameworks.
- Well-developedcommunication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Theability to prepare clear technical reports and recommendations.

The followingexperience would be well regarded:

- Experienceworking in local government or a similar public sector environment.
- Experiencecontributing to transport strategies, road safety programs, parking managementinitiatives or active travel projects.
- Experienceusing transport analysis tools, traffic modelling software or GIS applications.
- Membershipof Engineers Australia or eligibility for membership
