AEMO’s System Design division is at the centre of one of Australia’s most significant energy transformations, helping shape and enable the power system of the future. Within System Design, the Onboarding and Connections Group plays a critical role in bringing new generators,storageand load projects into the National Electricity Market.The team combines high-quality data, practical analytics, fit-for-purpose systems, and clear reporting tomeet regulatory obligations,providetrustedinformationonconnectionswhich helps guidetheenergy transition anddrive continuous improvement across the connections process.

As an Analyst – Data & Reportingyou’llpartneracross AEMO to deliver trusted insightsthatsupport informed decision‑making, drivebusiness performance.Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation, we transform data into meaningful reporting and analysis that helps shape outcomes for Australia's energy future.

About the role

As anAnalyst,



Data and Reporting,you'llplayan important rolein delivering high-quality reporting,analysisand insights to support business and operational decision-making.

Working with a variety of stakeholders,you'llhelpidentifyopportunities, improvedatamanagement andreportingprocessesand ensure data is presented in a clear,meaningfuland actionable way. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your analytical skills while contributing to work with real-world impact.

This role can be based inany Australian capital city.

What you will be doing

- Develop,maintainand enhance reports,dashboardsand data visualisations.
- Analyse data toidentifytrends,insightsand opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understanddata,reportingand business requirements.
- Ensure data quality,accuracyand consistency across reporting outputs.
- Translate data into clear and meaningful insights for a range of audiences.
- Support continuous improvement of reporting processes,toolsand frameworks.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the business to deliver data-driven outcomes.

What you will bring to the role

- Tertiary qualifications inEngineering, Mathematics,Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics,Commerceor a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.




- Experience in data analysis,working with large datasets
- Datavisualisationcapability e.g.experienceusing reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar.
- Strong communicationand stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively across teams.
- A proactive approach,curiosityand a willingness to learn and grow.

This role will suit someone who enjoys turning data into meaningful insights, building strong relationships and solving problems collaboratively. You'll bring a positive, can-do attitude, strong attention to detail and a desire to make a genuine impact through data-driven decision-making.
