Shape tomorrow's teachers through the science of learning. The School of Education is seeking passionate and creative educators to join our team as either a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Education. Working within Initial Teacher Education, you will contribute to teaching, research and engagement activities with a focus on cognitive science, educational psychology and evidence-based teaching practices.

- Deliver engaging learning experiences informed by cognitive science and evidence-based practice.
- Contribute to research that advances understanding of how students learn.
- Build strong partnerships with schools, communities and the broader education sector.
- Supervise and support research students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to drive excellence in teacher education.

About you:

- Emerging or established teaching and research profile in education, cognitive science, psychology or a related field.
- Demonstrated capacity to contribute to research and teaching excellence.
- Interest in building research impact, grant success and academic leadership.
- Established teaching and research profile with a record of academic leadership.
- Demonstrated success in research funding and supervision of higher degree research students.
- Capacity to teach across cognitive science and broader areas of teacher education.
- National, and ideally international, recognition in the field.

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level B or C and will have a total remuneration package of up to $184,076 comprising base salary within the range of $114,766 to $157,330 plus 17% superannuation. Relocation support may be available to the successful candidate, helping make a move to Tasmania as seamless as possible.
